details

After his legal studies in Freiburg, Dominik Greinacher worked from 1990 to 1992 as an assistant at the Institute for Public Law, Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Sciences (Prof. Rainer Wahl) of the University of Freiburg. In addition to his general responsibilities, he researched topics relating to constitutional, environmental and planning law. At the same time, he wrote his dissertation on the intersection of planning law and the law governing approval of industrial plants, utilising the example of waste disposal plants. Dominik Greinacher is a certified lawyer in administrative law.

Dominik Greinacher began to gain practical experience in environmental law in 1993 with Koehler Klett Bock und Gerhold in Cologne, where he specialised in waste, soil protection and emissions protection law. In 1998, he moved to Bruckhaus Westrick Heller Loeber (since 2000: Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer), where he worked on all aspects of environmental, planning und regulatory law arising in a major international law firm. A focus of his work was advising clients in public law in connection with corporate and capital market transactions (mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, real estate transactions, bonds, etc.).

Dominik Greinacher joined our team in September 2003, completing the firm's advisory profile for public law issues. The focus of his activities is advising energy and supply companies, as well as other industrial companies and the public sector, in issues of environmental law. He also deals with issues of budget and subsidy law. In addition, Dominik Greinacher advises clients in matters of public law in connection with business transactions, conducting a review of the target company (due diligence) and drafting and negotiating the relevant contracts.

Although the focus of Dominik Greinacher's activities is advising clients about avoiding and resolving conflicts, he also represents his clients in court. He is allowed to give legal representation before all German courts, with the exception of the Federal Court of Civil Justice.

As a father of three sons, Dominik Greinacher spends most of his free time with his family. He also enjoys hiking, skiing and cycling.
