Toralf Baumann

Toralf Baumann studied in Potsdam and Kiel. After his first state examination Toralf Baumann completed his legal internship with the Schleswig Holstein higher regional court, working inter alia at the state cartel office in Kiel and with an international law firm in Sankt Petersburg, Russia.

As a lawyer in Kiel, Toralf Baumann was already advising on energy related issues with a focus on, inter alia, the law of renewable energies.

Subsequently, Toralf Baumann worked several years in a law firm in Berlin specializing inter alia in the energy and procurement law. He was responsible for the advice of numerous contracting bodies and bidders in the public procurement law. The subject matter of the public procurement procedures advised by Toralf Baumann were both energy supplies and services, such as the classical full power supply, the structured power procurement, supply of green power, orders in connection with street lighting and contracting models, as well as orders from other areas. Another focus was the legal advice concerning energy law including the design and negotiation of energy supply contracts and feed-in contracts, network connection contracts and network access contracts, contracting agreements and the advice on the concession contract law, the law of renewable energies and combined heat and power generation.

Toralf Baumann joined our firm in March 2007, where he is expanding the public procurement law practice. In addition, he advises clients on energy law, concession agreements and the law of concession fees as well as the law of renewable energies. Toralf Baumann is a member of the Forum Contracting e.V.
