Sebastian Helmes studied law at the University of Trier, the Norwich Law School and the Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2003 he passed the first state law examination in Berlin. During his legal internship, which he concluded in 2006 with the second state exam, he worked inter alia on the Legal Committee of the German Federal Parliament and with SCHOLTKA & PARTNER Rechtsanwaelte.
Since January 2007 Sebastian Helmes has worked as a lawyer with our firm. He is certified specialist lawyer for administrative law. His expertise lies in the fields of public business law, environmental law, and regulatory law. In 2010 he also worked on secondment with the legal department of a German transmission system operator for several months. In addition to his professional activity, Sebastian Helmes is writing a dissertation supervised by Professor Dr Dr hc Ulrich Battis.
